Ref: S5777M Made by John Barnett A beautiful, historically accurate, hand forged replica sword made from EN45 spring steel from one of Scotland's leading weaponry designers and forgers. This item has a sharpened edge blade with a full tang that is cup peened riveted over the pommel. This sword has a 3 Lions crest pommel with the perfect weight and ballance making it a great blade to handle. Richard the Lionheart (1157 – 1199) was King of England from 1189-1199. He was famed as a great warrior and military leader. By the age of 16 he was commanding his own army to defend his father against rebellion and was revered as a great Christian hero for his activities during the Third Crusade. He one of the only monarchs to be perpetually remembered by his nickname rather than his official title despite speaking little English and spending very little time in his kingdom.
